MY JOURNEY

I have studied and worked in the realm of wellness for over 20+ years. I have a B.A. in Health Arts & Science from Goddard College where I researched intergenerational trauma and had the blessing of healing much of my matrilineal lines trauma from sexual abuse and a truly gothic ancestral story in rural Maine. I followed this trajectory and degree out of a place of self lack and the need for legitimacy outside of myself. I found that I did not need this expensive training in order to do my life’s work and that I really only needed to listen and learn from Nature.

I am a classically trained Waldorf Early Education Teacher and taught Waldorf kindergarten for three years prior to getting married. I studied Anthroposophy for a number of years, including studying and training in Biodynamic Farming & Gardening at the Pfeiffer Center in NY.

I have over 2000 hours of training in a variety of Yogic disciplines and taught for 15 years. Most of my time teaching was within communities suffering from drug and alcohol addiction. I found that my yoga classes and trainings morphed into elemental ceremonies to release demons and receive blessings of healing and grounding from the natural world. Unfortunately, when we are traumatized, isolated, and unable to heal we allow other entities to own our energy and dictate our lives.

I started a nonprofit organization, the Liberation Institute, in 2014 with my former partner and offered nationally accredited yoga teacher trainings at the 200 hour level to men incarcerated at the Maine State Prison. I did this for four years and graduated two classes, but I found myself out of alignment in such a challenging environment. I also did not have the requisite life force to stay in my own integrity and continue this work once Covid hit. I am so unbelievably impressed by the men I worked with and their constant fight to maintain their own integrity in prison.

I have studied nature based healing with many amazing teachers since 2012 and have had the honor and pleasure of distilling my own personal medicine and the ability to ground and strengthen my relationship with the Elemental realm. I have graduated many levels of training including five years with Deborah Hanekamp - aka Mama Medicine and various work through the Power Path School of Shamanism (I am not a medicine keeper of anything but my own medicine.)

With that said I have to say that Nature has been my biggest teacher and I am forever grateful for her wild fecundity and creative prowess. A power that she shares with me every day through her care and attention in providing all that is needed to sustain all of life.

I am at heart a serial entrepreneur who has never answered the call of my own intuition and desire. WYDA is an answer to my deepest desires and intentions for the collective. A way to balance myself, work with the sacred, and serve others in the best way that I can.

I invite you to join me for a 1:1 session or a healing series that allows us to step out of time and space and receive what is most needed in the moment. Trusting in Nature, in ourselves, and in our wise knowing .

Blessings of Health and Happiness,

Jessica
